This is an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources professional to serve as a dedicated technical resource to a division within the Georgia Department of Revenue in the following disciplines: recruitment, assessment, selection, classification, compensation, and, to a limited degree, employee relations. Each analyst will review and make recommendations for approval of the following personnel actions: reallocations, vacancy announcements, selection criteria, interview questions and other selection instruments, recommendations for appointments and promotions, letters of concern, written reprimands, adverse actions, etc. In addition, each analyst will maintain a variety of HR metrics measuring the rates at which actions are processed, the vacancy rate for their division, etc., and report this information monthly during an internal stakeholder meeting. In addition to serving their customer divisions, analysts may be asked to participate as a group on major projects in the Office of Human Resources. Analysts will also serve as Subject Matter Experts in the development and implementation of future phases of eHire, a custom Sharepoint application that integrates multiple proprietary information technology systems with PeopleSoft to create a seamless experience for our customers.
The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills and be able to speak to customers in their own language. Completion of a bachelor’s degree in human resources, behavioral science, business or public administration or a related field.

- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience preparing and/or delivering presentations
- Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and/or PowerPoint
- Experience using PeopleSoft HCM
- Experience with HR Metrics
- Experience in recruitment and selection of public employees
- Experience in employee relations
- Experience with workforce planning or succession planning
Salary begins at $35,569.36 - 46,868.16 plus bona fide retirement and benefits. State of Georgia will be moving to an enterprise-wide Job Redesign on 07.01.08 to allow salary progression without the need to change job classifications. Imagine - Super specialists will not have to move into management just to get a pay increase.
